3rd shift: 10:00PM-7:00AM

SUMMARY

The Environmental Sanitation Supervisor plans, implements and supervises employees, programs and procedures related to food safety and hygiene while ensuring that the company’s facilities operate in a safe and sanitary manner necessary and conducive to the production of food products in accordance with applicable local, state and federal regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Write, update, train and maintain company’s Standard Sanitation Operation Procedures • Prepare, compile implement and maintain the facilities Master Cleaning Schedule including all associated documentation. • Supervise operators who clean, sanitize, correct and document any deficiencies found on facility audits. • Supervise the correct dismantling, disassembling, cleaning, sanitizing and reassembly of all production equipment in adherence with the company’s sanitization policies and procedures. This work will be documented and verified by daily microbial swab reports. • Insure that all sanitation operators are trained, certified and able to perform the essential functions of their position. • Insure operators are trained and authorized to safely use, mix, label and store cleaning chemicals • Act as the production supervisor in case of emergency • Adhere to the company’s safety policies • Abide by the company’s attendance expectations • Responsible for overall food quality and food safety • Other duties may be assigned This job description is intended to provide general information about the position. QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

At a minimum, the incumbent must possess a 2 year college degree from an accredited college or university or 5 years of on the job experience working in food manufacturing, must be able to read, write and speak English fluently, possess excellent communications and organizational skills and be able to work under stressful conditions to meet strict deadlines. 9/10/2018 REASONING ABILITY: The Incumbent must be creative, organized and able to follow logical and detailed procedures to effectively solve problems within a teamwork environment.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK ENVIRONMENT/EQUIPMENT:

Incumbent will work in a wet non-temperature controlled production environment. From time to time the incumbent may be asked to work overtime to meet strict deadlines.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
