Description
SUMMARY:
The EDI Coordinator is responsible for development, implementation, testing, and maintenance of maps, business processes, and schedules required to conduct data interchange, including EDI and Data Sync transactions, with current and future trading partners. EDI transactions include the processing of purchase orders, acknowledgements, invoices and any other maps required by the business for EDI transactions. The employee is responsible for providing NAV help desk support and acts as backup for NAV security support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following:
- Creates and maintain EDI Trading Partner definitions
- Creates and maintain required EDI transaction sets for customers and suppliers
- Ensures that EDI transactions are resolved, completed and processed successfully in an efficient and timely manner.
- Creates and maintains Extol secure relationships
- Creates and maintain trading partner Van/AS2 connectivity
- Troubleshoot Extol secure processing as needed
- Provide NAV (Microsoft Navision) help desk support
- Provide NAV backup security support
- Apply new technology to solve business problems and reduce IT costs
- Participate in long and short range technology planning.
- Assist in developing and providing program application training to staff.
- Attend classes, seminars, conferences and review professional literature to enhance knowledge of trends and developments related to data interchange.
- Abide by the company’s attendance and punctuality policy.
- Other duties may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and 3 years work experience in EDI administration or 7 years equivalent work experience.
- Experience with Lanham Associates Microsoft Dynamics NAV EDI software is desired
- Experience creating EDI maps is required
- Experience with Extol Secure is desired
- Desired Certifications in:
- Lanham
- Microsoft Dynamics NAV
